Position: Registered Nurse – Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
Location: Glens Falls
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift
Schedule: 3×12
Experience Required: 2 Years
Weekly Pay:$2150 to $2350
Responsibilities
Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill adult patients in the Intensive Care Unit
Perform detailed patient assessments and continuously monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, neurological status, and hemodynamic stability
Administer medications, IV therapies, vasoactive drips, blood products, and advanced life-support treatments as prescribed
Operate and monitor advanced critical care equipment, including ventilators, infusion pumps, cardiac monitors, and other ICU technology
Recognize and respond rapidly to changes in patient condition and medical emergencies
Collaborate with intensivists, physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care
Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans based on patient needs
Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, medications, recovery expectations, and discharge planning
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols, patient safety standards, and critical care best practices
Provide compassionate, patient-centered care while supporting patients and families during challenging situations
Requirements
Active New York Registered Nurse (RN) License
Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience
Current BLS Certification required
Current ACLS Certification required
NIH Stroke Scale Certification preferred
Experience managing ventilated patients, cardiac monitoring, and critically ill medical or surgical patients
Strong assessment, critical thinking, and emergency response skills
Experience using electronic medical record (EMR) systems preferred
Excellent communication, teamwork, and multitasking abilities
