Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: ICU Duration: 20 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2+ Years License: Active RN License Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Ability to float within specialty/acuity - Experience with patient diagnoses in ICU settings - Proficiency in charting systems Description: Specialty: ICU RN Contract Length: 20 Weeks Shift: 3x12 Nights Weekend: Every 3rd weekend On Call: None Floating: Required within specialty/acuity First-time travelers accepted Years of experience: 2+ years Charting: Experience with EPIC Patient Diagnoses: ICU, Stroke, Renal Failure, Myocardial Infarction, Respiratory Failure, Pneumonia, Post Cardiac Arrest, Diabetic Ketoacidosis, Surgical ICU Special Equipment: Ceiling lifts, emergency carts including central line and universal critical airway carts, chest tube cart, temp pacer cart, bronch cart, chemo cart, CRRT cart, Malignant Hyperthermia cart Staffing & Scheduling: Patient Ratios during Days: 3 Patients Patient Age Groups: Adults, Geriatrics Daily Census: 12 Interdisciplinary Support includes IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, Transportation, and Unit Secretary Return Travelers must be away for at least 6 months after completion of assignment All former staff must be gone for 12 months before they can return as travelers Most locations allow for one contract and one extension followed by a 6-month break before returning
