Key Responsibilities of the Travel Nurse:
- Deliver expert, evidence-based care to critically ill cardiac patients in the ICU setting
- Monitor and manage patients with cardiac conditions, post-cardiac surgery, and those requiring advanced therapies such as IABP, Impella, and CRRT
- Administer and titrate vasoactive infusions and critical medications
- Collaborate closely with cardiologists, intensivists, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes
- Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient progress per hospital standards
- Support patients and families through complex, high-acuity care and recovery
Requirements of the Travel Nurse:
- Active Colorado Registered Nurse (RN) license (or compact license)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (CCRN preferred)
- Minimum of 2 years' recent experience in a Cardiac ICU or Critical Care environment
