Travel Nurse RN - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care - $2,164 per week in Lander, WY

Job Title: Critical Care Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 19:00 - 07:00 Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: 2 years of recent ICU RN experience in a hospital setting License: Must have RN license Certifications: ACLS, BLS & PALS/ENPC & TNCC (preferred but not required) certifications Must-Have: Candidates may be responsible for taking care of pediatric/adolescent patients on occasion. Must have multi-state RN license. Candidates might need to float between campuses depending on facility census. Description: Critical care registered nurses provide care for patients with severe medical issues. They assess patient conditions and plan and implement patient care plans. They treat wounds and provide advanced life support. They assist physicians in performing procedures. They observe and record patient vital signs. They ensure that medical equipment functions properly and may adjust ventilators. They administer intravenous fluids and medications. They perform suctioning as needed. They collaborate with other members of the critical care team. They respond to life-saving situations using nursing standards and protocols for treatment. They act as patient advocates. They provide education and support to patient families. Critical care nurses may also care for pre- and post-operative patients. Some serve as case managers and policy makers, while others perform administrative duties.
