Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 hours Hours per Shift: 36 hours guaranteed Experience: 2 years of RN ICU experience with multispecialty ICU (CCU/SICU/MICU/NEURO/CT) License: RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Effective verbal and written communication skills Physical ability to meet job responsibilities Basic computer proficiency Telemetry experience Ability to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips Description: As a Registered Nurse (RN) in the multi-specialty Intensive Care Unit (ICU), you will play an integral role in delivering exceptional, patient-centered care. Supported by a collaborative and dedicated nursing team, you will have the opportunity to provide the highest quality care to patients. You will ensure patients receive the attention and expertise they deserve. You will deliver nursing care in the ICU unit, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients. You will communicate with various health care team members, patients, and their families. You will coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues. You will update and manage patient records. You will enter and interpret computerized data and information. You will follow guidelines and policies established by the nursing department. You will assist the leadership team as needed in quality improvement projects.
