Must-Have:
- Previous charge experience preferred
- Experience in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- Experience with patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
- Experience in arterial line management and central line care/management
- Experience in continuous IV sedation and titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips
- Experience in BiPAP/CPAP management
- Experience in care of ventilated patients
- Experience in interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs)
- Experience in suctioning (ETT, NT)
- Knowledge of isolation precautions/PPE
Description:
This position involves caring for patients in the intensive care unit.
The unit specializes in stroke/neuro, cardiac conditions, trauma, and general medical issues such as DKA and sepsis.
Nurses must be proficient in several specialties to float between the ICUs and telemetry.
A higher degree of clinical judgment and coordination with interdisciplinary support teams is expected.
Support teams include physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, and rapid response teams.
Candidates are required to comply with strict dress code policies regarding personal appearance.
Facial hair, acrylic nails, unnatural hair colors, visible tattoos, and body piercings other than earrings are not permitted.
Earrings should not extend beyond the earlobe or be in hoop style.
