**Exciting Opportunity for an ICU Travel Registered Nurse (RN)!**
**Job Description:**
- Join a dynamic team providing high-acuity nursing care to critically ill adult patients!
- Utilize your strong clinical judgment and rapid decision-making skills in a fast-paced hospital environment.
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to stabilize patients and implement treatment plans.
**Essential Responsibilities:**
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care for critically ill patients.
- Monitor and interpret vital signs, cardiac rhythms, laboratory results, and other diagnostic data.
- Manage ventilated patients, invasive lines, vasoactive medications, and other critical-care therapies.
- Administer medications, blood products, IV fluids, and treatments according to physician orders and hospital policy.
- Recognize changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate interventions promptly.
- Respond to rapid-response and emergency situations as assigned.
- Accurately document assessments, interventions, patient responses, and care plans.
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge needs.
- Communicate effectively during handoff reports and interdisciplinary rounds.
- Follow infection-prevention, medication-safety, patient-identification, and regulatory standards.
- Float to comparable units when needed, based on competency and facility policy.
- Participate in weekend and holiday rotations as required by the assignment.
**Minimum Qualifications:**
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Current, unrestricted RN license in the state of practice or active multistate compact privilege.
- Minimum of two years of recent ICU or critical-care nursing experience.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Demonstrated experience caring for ventilated patients and managing critical-care medications.
- Ability to pass required background checks, drug screening, health screening, and competency assessments.
- Experience with electronic medical records and computerized documentation.
