Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care experience in ICU License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Description: Position includes responsibilities for ICU nursing. Shifts are 3x12s, 19:00 to 07:30. No block scheduling is available. Weekend requirement includes every other weekend, totaling 2 weekends per month. Requests for time off (RTO) are limited to a maximum of 5 days, with no more than 2 consecutive days off. No holiday RTO is permitted. No RTO is allowed the day before or after a holiday or on weekends. Floating within the scope to meet facility needs is mandatory. ICU nurses will float between various ICU units, including burn and medical ICU, among others. If needed, ICU nurses may be assigned to medical/surgical units. The first week consists of orientation and precepting on day shift. Guaranteed hours are 36 per week. Required certifications include BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS. Local candidates are preferred, residing within a 75-mile radius. Pending licenses are not accepted. The facility is a Level 1 Trauma Center. Scrub color is navy blue, which is not provided. Charting system utilized is Cerner. Floating policies are standard practice. Staff may be expected to float regularly among various units, including specialties. Refusal to float may result in changes to the assignment. Two professional references from recent employers are required prior to the start. Only one reference from each employer is acceptable. International candidates must obtain necessary documentation before submission. Local candidates will receive consideration at a different rate. Block scheduling is not approved, and all time off must comply with RTO policies. Returning resources must undergo recredentialing and orientation. Compliance deadlines must be adhered to for required items and documentation submission. Lab work must be completed within a specific timeframe after accepting an assignment. Modules required prior to the start are non-billable, while continuous education requirements during the assignment are billable.
