Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Cardiac ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour Day/Night rotation Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: 2+ years of recent dedicated Cardiac ICU/CCU/CVICU experience required. License: VA RN License or Compact License. Certifications: BLS, ACLS. Must-Have: Recent experience/competency in the last 6 months in the following: VV/VA ECMO Intra Aortic Balloon Pumps Targeted Temperature Management Impella CRRT PA Catheter Guided Therapy Description: We are seeking RNs with experience in a Cardiac ICU who have a solid background in advanced therapy modalities. Candidates must have experience managing and titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips. The common types of patients include those with cardiogenic shock, STEMI, cardiac arrest, advanced heart failure management, cardiac arrhythmia, post-interventional procedures, and TEVAR. Candidates should be able to read and interpret EKG rhythm strips. Weekend work will be required every other weekend and one major winter holiday, including the day before, the day of, and the day after the specified holidays. There is a floating expectation to other ICUs including Stepdown, Progressive Care, IMC, and Tele Units. The unit is designed for 24 beds with a patient ratio of 1:1 or 1:2, and Stepdown is 1:3. The electronic medical record system used is Epic. Scrubs should consist of navy blue pants and solid navy blue tops or solid white, with jackets in solid navy blue or solid white. Orientation for the floor will consist of 2 shifts.
