Job Title: Cardio ICU Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Cardio ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour day/night rotation Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: 2+ years of recent dedicated Cardiac ICU experience required. Must have experience with advanced therapy modalities. License: Virginia RN License or Compact License required. Certifications: BLS and ACLS certification required. Must-Have: Recent experience/competency in the last 6 months with VV/VA ECMO, IABP, TTM/Arctic Sun, Impella, CRRT, and PA Catheter Guided Therapy. Ability to read and interpret EKG rhythm strips. Experience managing and titrating Cardiac and Vasoactive drips. Description: We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for the Cardio ICU. Candidates must have 2 years of experience in a Cardiac ICU. Strong experience with the following devices is required: PA Catheters, Swan Ganz Catheters, Targeted Temperature Management, CRRT, IABP, Impella, and ECMO. Candidates will be screened for solid experience with the above devices. The common types of patients include those with cardiogenic shock, STEMI, cardiac arrest, advanced heart failure management, and cardiac arrhythmias. The nurse will assist with post IR/PCI procedures and TEVAR. Expectations include floating to other ICUs as needed. The position requires every other weekend and one major holiday commitment. Shifts are either from 6 am to 6 pm or 6 pm to 6 am. The nurse will work with a typical ratio of 1:1 or 1:2 in the ICU setting and 1:3 in stepdown units. Experience with any electronic medical record system is preferred. Scrubs must be navy blue pants and solid navy blue or solid white tops, with jackets allowed in solid navy blue or solid white.
