Job Title: Critical Care Float Pool RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Critical Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of ICU experience License: Valid compact or state license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Proficiency with charting systems Experience with IV starts, telemetry, and ventilator management Ability to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity Description: Join our Critical Care Float Pool for weekend night shifts with flexibility to meet unit needs. Nurses will float to a variety of ICUs based on staffing and patient acuity. Floating may include Neuro ICU, Surgical ICUs, Medical ICUs, and Cardiology/Diagnostics. Candidates must possess the following skills: Accessing and managing ports Arterial line management Assisting with chest tube insertion and removal BiPAP/CPAP management and maintenance Blood product administration Care of ventilated patients Central line care and management Management of chronic and acute renal failure Continuous IV sedation and neuromuscular blockade Management of post-cardiac surgery patients not directly from the operating room Interpretation of arterial blood gases Management of dysrhythmias Suctioning and starting and maintaining IVs Candidates must be aware of compliance deadlines related to credentialing processes. Two professional references are required, including one from a manager or formal leader. This position requires flexibility, teamwork, and the ability to adapt to varying patient needs.
