Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Critical Care Float Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years preferred License: Valid nursing license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS required Must-Have: IV start, telemetry, PICC line management experience Description: The role involves providing critical care to patients in a float capacity. This position may require floating to other units as needed. The estimated patient ratio is 1:3-4. Candidates must have experience with telemetry and advanced cardiac care. Skills required include IV insulin protocols, management of cardiac drips, and interpretation of dysrhythmias. Candidates will be responsible for arterial line management and blood product administration. Involvement in procedural sedation administration and monitoring is required. Wound care and knowledge of isolation precautions are essential. The candidate must have experience with non-invasive airway management and oxygen administration. Candidates will support interdisciplinary teams, including respiratory services and pharmacy. All candidates must complete required credentialing processes in a timely manner. References should be provided from managers or supervisors in a formal leadership capacity.
