Medication titration experience (sedation, pressors, cardiac, pain, paralytics)
EPIC experience required
Preferred: Abdominal pressure monitoring; EVDs; CVVH; IABP
Description:
This position is for an experienced ICU nurse.
The unit consists of 14 beds.
Common patient types include severe infections, respiratory failure, kidney failure, various cardiac conditions, trauma cases, and post-surgical recovery.
Patient ratios range from 1:1 to 1:3.
If there are more than 2 patients, team nursing with an experienced MedSurg RN is utilized.
Long-term vented patients will be managed by ICU RN while the MedSurg RN will handle other patient requirements.
Charge RN typically takes a patient assignment.
There are 1-2 CNAs available per shift.
Bedside and centralized telemetry monitoring is provided.
RT services are available 24/7.
Clientists and intensivists are also present 24/7.
Occupational, Physical, and Speech Therapy services are available during the day.
Floating may occur to other areas in the hospital within the scope of practice.
If floating to MedSurg/Tele units, the ratio will be 1:4.
Weekend rotation is every other weekend.
Holiday expectation includes working 1 holiday per contract.
Schedule is made in 6-week increments.
Scrub color is any solid color that is professional without graphics, logos, or designs.
