Unit supports patients on mechanical circulatory support such as Impella, durable VAD, ECMO, and IABP.
Clinician to patient ratio is 1:2.
Patient population includes multisystem failure with a specialty focus on advanced heart failure as well as fresh post-operative cardiac surgical patients.
Unit has a bed count of 16 with a census of 16.
