Job Title: Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of ICU experience License: Valid nursing license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: EPIC experience required Proficiency in IV start Experience with telemetry Competency with ventilators Description: The Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse will work night shifts. The nurse will provide care to critically ill patients. Patient ratios are estimated at 1:1-2. The role requires proficiency in nursing skills including, but not limited to, IV management and ventilator care. Experience administering emergency medications and managing dysrhythmias is essential. Candidates should be familiar with patient diagnoses such as cardiogenic shock, decompensating heart failure, and other acute medical conditions. The nurse may also be required to float to different units as needed. Previous travel nursing experience is preferred. The role involves working collaboratively with interdisciplinary support teams. The nurse will adhere to safety and infection prevention protocols. Availability for weekend work is required, with shifts scheduled every other weekend.
