Travel Nurse RN - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care - $2,236 per week in Kearney, NE

Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 Hour Days Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - RN's must pass a weekly exam during orientation. - RN's must receive a passing score of 90% on an open book exam covering skills learned. - Required to titrate drips including cardiac, insulin, and sedation. - RN's must read, interpret, and document telemetry strips. Description: This position is for an Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse. The unit consists of 33 beds with an average daily census of 16 patients. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:2-3 for adults. Common patient diagnoses include trauma, cardiac issues, overdose/substance abuse, sepsis, and respiratory distress. Nurse aides are available based on census and can assist on the floor as needed. The schedule includes self-scheduling for core staff, with restrictions on block scheduling. RN's may float to other units such as PCU or Med-Surg, maintaining similar patient ratios. Holiday and weekend shifts are required. Registered Nurses must hold current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
