Responsibility includes providing nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in the ICU. The role requires managing patients with various critical conditions such as DKA, STEMI, CVA, and respiratory failure. Registered Nurse must work with equipment such as ventilators, IABP, A lines, and CPAP. The patient-to-nurse ratio is typically 1:6, depending on patient status.
