Supervise and direct the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. Coordinate care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking and professional discretion. Analyze assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues. Develop a plan that prescribes interventions to attain outcomes. Implement the plan and employ strategies to promote health and a safe environment. Evaluate progress toward attaining outcomes. Collaborate with the patient, family, and healthcare providers in providing patient care. Provide learning opportunities for patients, family members, and team members. Directly provide health information to patients and families. Participate in discharge planning in order to ensure continuity of care. Delegate appropriately and coordinate duties of healthcare team members. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Adhere to safety and well-being standards required for all associates.
