Travel Nurse RN - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care - $2,251 per week in Columbus, OH

Job Opportunity – Medical ICU RN – Ohio

Schedule: 12-hour rotating day/night shifts; 2:1 patient ratio consistently across all shifts; flexible scheduling reviewed every 4 weeks based on department needs

Highlights:

• 24-bed Medical ICU specializing in complex, hemodynamically compromised patients including oncologic emergencies, COPD, ARDS, sepsis, and multisystem organ failure
• Advanced critical care treatments including mechanical ventilation, CRRT (NxStage machines), pulmonary artery catheter placement, plasmapheresis, chemotherapy administration, and clinical trials
• Epic EMR with comprehensive charting system; strong interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and radiology
• 72-hour orientation program; modern equipment including Alaris IV pumps, GE monitors, and Cortrak NG/Dobhoff placement technology
• Up to two pre-approved time-off periods available during contract
• Parking options available with shuttle service to campus

Requirements:

• Valid RN license (compact or Ohio state license required at submission)
• Minimum 2 years of current acute care experience in ICU specialty (must be actively working in the last 12 months)
• Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale
• Epic EMR experience required
• Proficiency in ventilator management, IV starts, arterial line management, vasoactive/cardiac drip titration, central line care, CRRT, and blood product administration
• Experience with complex patient populations including 2:1 patient ratio management
• Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Two professional references required (at least one from a manager/director or formal supervisor)
• Ability to complete Ohio fingerprinting process promptly upon contract acceptance
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccination not required
