TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in Renton, Washington, 98055!

Job Title: Registered Nurse - Intensive Care Unit Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: CCU type: ICU (Intensive Care Unit) Duration: 16 weeks Shift: 12H Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years minimum in ICU License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Epic experience within the past 2 years - 2 years of experience in ICU at the time of submission Description: The unit consists of 30 private beds, including 2 negative airflow rooms. Nurse-patient ratios are mostly 2:1. Common diagnoses include sepsis, respiratory failure, and stroke recovery. The unit practices target temperature management. Patients may be received directly back from the catheterization lab. RNs are required to titrate medications as prescribed. Common drips include norepinephrine, vasopressin, and sedation. There is no house supervisor on the unit; the charge nurse does not have patient assignments. No nurse aids are present; resource RNs support charge RNs. The unit is equipped with vents, BiPap, and HFNC. Telemetry is available, and RNs should be able to read strips. Shifts are scheduled on the unit level, with considerations for the night shift. Travel RNs are expected to work every other weekend and may be required to work holidays as needed. Floating to med/surg units may be necessary to fulfill assignments. Royal blue scrubs are required for the unit. Additional notes: All requests for time off must be submitted prior to the start of the contract. There is a cancellation policy in place. Epic is the charting system utilized by the unit. BSN is not required. The trauma level is 3. The care setting is acute.
