Travel Nurse RN - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care - $2,261 per week in Kansas City, MO

**Exciting Travel RN Opportunity - Cardiac Telemetry at 4 North CCU!** **Job Description:** - **Start Date:** 12/14 - **Location:** Kansas City, MO - **Unit:** 4 North Cardiac Telemetry - **Total Beds:** 29 - **Patient Ratios:** 1:4 - **Staffing:** Charge Nurse, Unit Secretary, PCTs **Unit Highlights:** - **State-of-the-art Equipment:** - Alaris IV Pumps - SCD Machines - Hill Rom Beds - Vital Machines and Telemetry Monitors - EKG Machines - Bladder Scanner and Doppler - **Documentation System:** Meditech - **Scheduling Requirements:** - Full-time hours - 3 weekend shifts per scheduling period - **Floating Policy:** Nurses may be floated to areas where they demonstrate competency. - **Patient Experience Focus:** - Treat every patient with courtesy and respect. - Be responsive to call lights and use patients’ preferred names. - Engage in bedside shift reports and teach patients how to communicate directly. **Required Skill Set:** - **Essential Experience:** - Cardiac Telemetry or PCU/ICU - Proficient in reading and interpreting EKGs and telemetry strips - **Advanced Skills:** - Post cardiac procedural care experience (Ablations, cardiac catheterizations, Post Op Day 1 Open Heart, permanent Pacemaker placements) - Ability to administer and titrate IV medications (insulin, Cardizem, Cardene, Amiodarone) - **Procedures on Unit:** - IV insertions - NGT placement and maintenance - Chest Tube maintenance - Temporary Pacemaker management - Foley insertions - **Certifications Required:** - ACLS - BLS - NIHSS **Dress Code:** - Navy Blue Scrubs (black scrub pants acceptable with Navy Blue tops) **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
