Job Opportunity – Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse (Nights) – Ohio

Start Date: November 16, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 3x12 hour shifts, Night shift, Every other weekend required, No on-call

Highlights:

• Cardiac Medical ICU specializing in acute MI, cardiogenic shock, post-interventional cardiac procedures, decompensating heart failure, and TAVR patients
• Patient ratio of 1:1 to 1:2 with a 28-30 bed unit
• EPIC charting system required; experience with this documentation platform is mandatory
• Work with advanced equipment including IABP, Impella, CRRT, ventilators, and EKOS
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, Rapid Response Teams, and more
• 36 hours of orientation provided; one pre-approved time off period available during contract

Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (AHA certifications only)
• Proficiency in EPIC documentation system mandatory
• Proficient in IV starts, telemetry monitoring, and ventilator management
• Education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Competency in arterial line management, central line care, blood product administration, BiPAP/CPAP, continuous IV sedation, emergency medications, and interpretation of ABGs and dysrhythmias
• Experience with pulmonary artery line monitoring, titrating vasoactive and cardiac drips, and managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction
• Valid flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccination not required
• Two professional references required: at least one from a manager/director or formal supervisor; Charge RN acceptable for second reference
• Willingness to float to different units within the organization as needed
