Travel Nurse RN - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care - $2,270 per week in Milwaukee, WI

Job Title: Registered Nurse - Critical Care Profession: Nursing Specialty: ICU Neuroscience Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour Night Shift Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum of 4 years required License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: EPIC experience required Description: Responsible for providing care in a critical care setting. Facility is a Level III Trauma Center and Magnet designated. The unit includes 27 beds with an average daily census of 25 patients. Patient types include neurological cases such as ischemic strokes, hemorrhagic strokes, seizures, and spinal surgeries. Non-neuro ICU cases may also be included. Patient ratios are 1:1-2 or 1:3 for mixed acuity status. Skills required include managing vents, trachs, art lines, vasopressors, sedation, and central line blood draws. Support is provided by CNAs, a Charge RN, Critical Care NPs, Intensivists, Clientists, and RTs available 24/7. Technology utilized includes EMR, IV pumps, medication dispensing systems, and bedside monitors. Floating may occur to various units including Emergency Department and other ICUs. Weekend rotation and holiday expectations are applicable. Scrub color is any solid color without graphics or logos. The unit culture emphasizes strong teamwork and evidence-based nursing practice. Fatigue policy in place limits work to no more than 60 hours in a week or 5 consecutive shifts.
