Travel Nurse RN - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care - $2,275 per week in Morgantown, WV

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: ICU (Intensive Care Unit) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 Hours Nights Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years of ICU experience License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: ICU experience, critical care experience Description: The Registered Nurse will work in the Intensive Care Unit. This unit has a total of 20 beds dedicated to neuro patients. The RN will care for patients with conditions such as stroke, dialysis, head bleeds, and neuro disorders requiring critical care. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 2:1. RNs are required to titrate drips such as Levophed, phenylephrine, versed, paralytics, heparin, insulin, nicardipine, and vaso. There is an intensivist available during the day and on call at night. Advanced Practice Providers are available for 24/7 coverage. Respiratory Therapy is available 24/7 in the ICU. Equipment used includes vents, BiPAP, high flow, and nasal cannula. Patient monitoring is conducted from another floor. The RN will have a preferred scheduling system with a requirement of 3 weekend shifts and 1 Friday and 1 Monday shift per month. RNs will not be placed on every holiday, but may be scheduled as needed. Charting is done using the EPIC system. Baccalaureate degree in nursing is not required for this position. The RN must hold relevant certifications and be willing to work in an acute care setting.
