Travel Nurse RN - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care - $2,282 per week in Saint Louis, MO

Job Title: Critical Care Float Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Critical Care Duration: 18 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience. Minimum of 1 year of CV ICU experience. License: Current active nursing license required. Certifications: BCLS and ACLS required. CPI, NIH, ONS, TNCC preferred. Must-Have: Strong independent experience in critical care nursing. CRRT experience beneficial. Past EPIC experience strongly preferred. Description: The position involves floating to multiple intensive care units. Units include Trauma, Oncology, Cardiac, Client, Medicine, and COVID. Nurses will be expected to float to inpatient floors as a staff nurse if there are no current ICU needs. Patient ratios are 2:1 on all ICU shifts. When floating to inpatient floors, the ratio will be no more than 1:3. Floating to non-critical care units may occur if census is low in ICU. Nurses may also be asked to serve as patient sitters if needed. Every other weekend work is required. There is no need for specific CVICU experience. Familiarity with cardiac skill sets is preferred. Special procedures relevant to this role include hemodynamic monitoring and management of various devices. Additional critical care skills such as ventilation management, interpretation of dysrhythmias, and isolation precautions are essential. Nurses should be capable of managing patients with multi-system organ dysfunction or failure.
