Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (18:00 - 06:30) Experience: Minimum of 2 years in ICU with cardiac experience required License: Active state license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required Must-Have: Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency Response Skills; Interpretation of dysrhythmias; Management of dysrhythmias; Obtain 12 lead EKG; Pre/Post Cardiac Cath/intervention experience; Chronic/Acute Renal failure experience; IV therapy experience, including accessing ports, arterial line management, and central line care; Continuous IV sedation and titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips experience; CVA/Acute Stroke management experience; Respiratory/Thoracic skills, including management of BiPAP, CPAP, ventilated patients, and interpretation of ABGs. Description: Position available for an ICU Registered Nurse specializing in cardiac care. The position requires expertise in managing critically ill patients with cardiac conditions. The unit consists of 20 rooms/beds with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:2. First-time travelers are welcome to apply. Weekend shifts are required every other weekend. Candidates will float as needed within their scope to meet facility needs. No on-call requirement. A minimum of 2 years of ICU experience is mandatory. Candidates will be involved in the management of various cardiac interventions and emergency situations. Key responsibilities include monitoring patients, performing EKGs, and managing dysrhythmias. Experience with respiratory care, including BiPAP and ventilator management, is necessary. The team will partake in handling diverse patient diagnoses such as chest pain, CHF, AFib, NSTEMI, and post-cardiac interventions. Candidates must have strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team. Observation of infection prevention practices and adherence to isolation precautions is essential. This position emphasizes a commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the ICU setting.
