Description:
We are seeking an experienced RN for our Step-Down ICU and ICU units.
Candidates must have strong ICU experience at a Level 1 Trauma Center.
Candidates must also be willing to float down to Step-Down ICU.
The candidate must hold a current state nursing license, as well as CPR, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited nursing program; education verification is required.
Essential duties and responsibilities include utilizing the nursing process and collaborating with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients.
The RN administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies and procedures, standards of care, and state laws/practice act.
Documentation must be completed according to standards of care.
The RN develops, initiates, and executes a patient plan of care according to the individualized needs of the patient, as prescribed by a physician and/or hospital policy, including patient and family instruction.
Participation in department or unit performance improvement activities may include shared governance.
The RN utilizes clinical expertise to guide other units/departments in support of the patient’s longitudinal plan of care.
Critical thinking must be utilized regarding patient safety and patient experience, with appropriate escalation to the appropriate chain of command.
Holiday coverage is required.
