Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year required License: Active state license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS required. NIHSS, TNCC, and TNS preferred Description: Please review the submission instructions and provide answers in the submission notes. Position and specialty focus on ICU nursing. Shift is 3x12 nights. The average daily census is 10 patients. Minimum 1 year of experience required. First-time travelers are accepted. Must work every other weekend. Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required. NIHSS, TNCC, and TNS certifications are preferred. There is an on-call requirement. Travelers will be the first to float off the unit. Floating may occur to other ICUs and general floors as needed. Locals are accepted. Pending licenses are not accepted; an active license is required to apply. Preferred time off is ideally no more than 5 days. Guaranteed hours are contingent on client policies. The facility is primarily a trauma/burn ICU but handles medical and cardiac overflow patients. The facility type is an acute care hospital and is a Level I trauma center. Total staffed beds are 562. Charting is done with a specific electronic health record system. The scrub color is any solid color. The average patient ratio during days and weekends is 2:1. The unit includes interdisciplinary support services. Patient demographics include adults, with a daily census of 10. Special equipment used includes bedside monitors. Background check findings must be disclosed upon submission. References may be pending during submission. Previous employees must be separated from the facility for at least 12 months before returning as a traveler. Floating is required for all travelers. Modules must be completed and renewed annually, with certain hours being non-billable. Compliance requirements must be met timely.
