Job Opportunity – Critical Care Float Pool RN – Ohio
Start Date: October 5, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, night shift. Contract must extend through January 2, 2027. Minimum every-other-weekend coverage required.
Highlights:
Float to multiple ICU settings based on staffing needs and patient acuity, including Neuro ICU, Surgical ICU, Medical ICU, CVICU, Cardiology/Diagnostics, and more
Work with advanced critical care patient populations including transplant patients (kidney, liver, lung, heart)
EPIC charting system utilized across all units
Float within units of equivalent or lower acuity according to facility policy
Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, physical therapy, and more
Opportunity to develop broad critical care expertise across diverse ICU environments
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
Active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical record system required
Demonstrated competency in IV start, telemetry monitoring, and ventilator management
Valid RN license (compact or Ohio state license) required at time of application
Nursing degree must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
Two professional references required: at least one from a manager, director, or formal leadership role
Ability to complete Ohio fingerprinting process urgently upon contract signing
Adult patient care experience
