Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care / Coronary Nurse, Step Down, Telemetry Med / Surg, Telemetry Nurse Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Current Nursing License Certifications: CPR, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Extensive Cardiac experience Description: We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our Medical Surgical, Cardiac Telemetry, Stroke Neuro, Step-Down ICU, and ICU units. Candidates must have ICU experience and be willing to float to Medical Surgical if needed. Extensive Cardiac experience is required. The candidate must possess a current Nursing License, CPR, ACLS, and NIHSS. Candidates must be graduates of an accredited nursing program, and education verification is required. Utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients. Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies, procedures, and standards of care. Documents according to standards of care. Develops, initiates, and executes a patient plan of care according to the individualized needs of the patient, as prescribed by a physician and/or hospital policy, including patient and family instruction. Participates in department or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance. Utilizes clinical expertise to guide other units/departments in support of the patient’s longitudinal plan of care. Utilizes critical thinking regarding patient safety and patient experience and appropriately escalates to the appropriate chain of command. Holiday coverage is required.
