Job Title: Registered Nurse - Critical Care / ICU-CCU Profession: RN Critical Care / ICU-CCU Specialty: RN Critical Care / ICU-CCU Duration: 8 weeks Shift: 07:00 AM - 07:30 PM Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN License required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required Must-Have: Cerner and Epic EMR experience required. Telemetry strips self-study required. Basic Dysrhythmia test out required in the first week of assignment. Description: This position provides support for the unit during an EMR transition. Delivers care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation in coordination with other health team members. Effectively interacts with patients and significant others while maintaining high standards of professional nursing. Provides high-quality care to adult cardiac/telemetry, stroke, vascular intervention, and hemodynamic monitoring patient populations. Estimated work week is 36 hours with opportunities for additional hours. The traveler is responsible for self-studying telemetry strips upon acceptance. A basic dysrhythmia test out will be administered during the first week of the assignment; passing this test is necessary to work in ICU-CCU areas. Although the traveler will not be part of a regular call rotation, they may occasionally be placed on call during periods of low census. If called in, the traveler is expected to respond and arrive on-site within one hour. There is a float expectation to other units. Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:3-4. Every other holiday and weekend rotation is required.
