Travel Nurse RN - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care - $2,309 per week in Seattle, WA

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: High Acuity Float Pool - ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 Hours Days Hours per Shift: 7 AM - 7:30 PM Experience: Minimum 2 years of ICU or high acuity nursing experience required License: WA or Compact License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - EPIC experience - Prior floating experience in float pool shifts or floating to other floors/units Description: Unit includes multiple critical care areas and general medical and surgical units. The nurse-patient ratio varies with acuity and can be 1-2 or 1-3. Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and NIH Stroke Scale certification are required. ICU experience of 2 years with high acuity preferred. RNs may be required to titrate drips. Common medications administered include Epi, Norepi, Dobutamine, Propofol, Esmolol, Hydromorphone, and Midazolam. Charge Nurses do not take a patient assignment. Nurse aids usually available depending on daily census. Equipment utilized includes vents, BiPAP, and CPAP. Nurses are responsible for reading EKG strips and using Phillips monitors. Self-scheduling is allowed for shifts. Weekend requirements include three weekend shifts per schedule. Holiday shifts are expected. There is no standby or call requirement. Assignments are created by Charge RN each day. Nurses will receive onsite training and validation within the unit. Cancelation policy allows up to four shifts per 13-week assignment. Unit requires staff to wear royal blue scrubs.
