Join a dedicated team as an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse at a 25-bed independent, nonprofit critical access hospital located in St. Johnsbury, Vermont. This role is integral to providing exceptional patient care within a four-bed open ICU setting.
The ICU RN is responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to critically ill pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients during their hospitalization. Care delivery is guided by AACN Standards, ensuring a professional and patient-centered approach tailored to each individual's age, physical ability, and intellectual development.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct, comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU.
Coordinate and implement patient care plans in accordance with AACN Standards.
Assess, monitor, and evaluate patient conditions, adapting care as needed.
Demonstrate proficiency in delivering treatment and managing care for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patient populations.
Accurately read and interpret telemetry readings.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Maintain a professional and compassionate demeanor while delivering patient care.
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
Minimum of two (2) years of recent critical care (ICU) experience.
Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and interpretation.
Ability to provide care for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patient populations.
