Travel Nurse RN - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care - $2,326 per week in Freeport, IL

Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: ICU RN Duration: 16 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2+ years in ICU License: Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - IL license required - Experience running codes - Experience with titratable drips: Levo, Neo, Propofol, Fentanyl, Precedex, Insulin, TNK Description: This position is for an ICU Registered Nurse. The unit has a nurse to patient ratio of 1:2-3. Some patients are lower acuity. Common diagnoses in the unit include Sepsis, General Medical, General Surgical, Stroke, DKA, and Pneumonia. Post-catheterization recovery is performed here. The unit has a mix of patients, including those recovering from alcohol withdrawal. ICU RNs are expected to run codes. Other nurses will support during a code situation. Telemonitoring is available in the unit for additional support. This is primarily a primary care nursing environment. Experience with Meditech is a plus. Travel nursing experience is highly preferred. Nurses may be required to float to other units, including MedSurg, Tele, and ER. Professional scrubs of any color are acceptable. Weekend work is required every other weekend. There is a holiday rotation for the unit staff.
