Candidates must have a minimum of 1 year of experience, specifically in a neuro setting. The role involves working night shifts, three 12-hour shifts per week. Nurses will be responsible for a patient ratio of 1:2. Weekend shifts are required every other weekend, totaling 4 shifts in a 4-week scheduling period. On-call duties are not required. Floating between like units may be necessary to meet facility needs. Candidates should not have any pending licenses at the time of submission. RTO must be included at the time of submission. The facility allows for one call-off per two-week pay period. Candidates will work within an acute care setting with a total of 392 staffed beds. Additional interdisciplinary support services are available in this unit. The facility is recognized as a Comprehensive Stroke Center. Candidates are expected to have experience with various specialized equipment. Refusing to float may result in termination of the assignment. Nurses will be responsible for managing complex patients requiring specialized care. This role encompasses a wide range of critical care skills. Work may involve the use of advanced monitoring and management devices. Travelers can expect to assist with various procedures as needed. It is vital for candidates to have strong critical thinking and assessment skills.
