Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Critical Care Float Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in critical care nursing License: WI RN or compact RN license required Certifications: BLS and ACLS required - AHA ONLY Must-Have: - Experience with multiple ICU units (Neuro ICU, Cardiothoracic, Burn ICU, Trauma Surgery, etc.) - Ability to pass a telemetry test prior to starting - Basic Arrhythmia experience Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse who will work evening and night shifts. Shifts are 3x12 hours from 19:00 to 07:30, with every other weekend and some holidays. Experience with high-acuity populations in various critical care settings is essential. The ideal candidate will support and engage in shared governance. Staff will float to multiple ICU specialties as needed. Skills required include accessing and managing ports, arterial line management, and blood product administration. Candidates should be competent in the care of patients on ECMO, ventilator management, and interpretation of dysrhythmias. Experience with post-surgical patients, including post cardiac and post neurosurgery, is necessary. Candidates will be involved in managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure. This position requires strong skills in telemetry and cardiac drips. The successful candidate will demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to adult and geriatric patient populations.
