Job Title: Interventional Radiology RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Critical Care Duration: 12 months Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Experience: Minimum years of experience required as per specific qualifications License: Current Registered Nurse license Certifications: ACLS Certification, BCLS Certification, BSN preferred Must-Have: - BSN preferred, or required within five (5) years of hire date - Knowledge of professional nursing theory and practice - Skill in evaluating patient care Description: To provide nursing care for patients following established standards and practices in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act. To apply professional nursing theory and practice to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. Constant interaction with internal and external customers including patients, families, physicians, employees, and visitors. This is an Interventional Radiology RN position and not an ICU/Critical Care position. Hours will involve one weekday call and Saturday/Sunday call every six weeks. Knowledge of organizational policies and procedures to administer patient care is essential. Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment is required. Skill in applying and modifying the principles, methods, and techniques of professional nursing to provide ongoing patient care is necessary. Ability to analyze situations and apply critical thinking is important. Ability to communicate clearly is essential. Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations is required. Frequent standing, walking, bending, crouching, and stooping are required. Frequent lifting/moving patients and intermittent lifting, moving, or carrying objects up to 50 lbs is involved. Exposure to blood, body fluids, and potentially infectious materials is a possibility. Intermittent exposure to risk of blood-borne pathogens is present. Requires work under stressful conditions, deadlines, or irregular hours. May be required to take call and/or work weekends and holidays based on department needs.
