Travel Nurse RN - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care - $2,347 per week in Newark, NY

Schedule: 12-hour shifts with every other weekend coverage; 2:1 patient ratio; floating required as neededHighlights:

• Work in a Medical and Surgical Intensive Care Unit with adult patient population and 9-bed capacity
• Manageable 2:1 patient ratio across all shifts including weekends
• Epic charting system utilized throughout the facility
• 12-hour orientation provided with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including Respiratory Services, Physical Therapy, Pharmacy, and Radiology
• Pre-approved time off available (up to 10 days maximum)
• Travel assignment with potential for first-time travelers to be considered

Requirements:

• Active New York State RN license required in hand prior to submission
• Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience strongly preferred
• Charge nurse experience highly preferred
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS required
• Epic EMR experience is mandatory
• Must reside outside 75-mile radius from facility location
• Proficiency in critical care skills including arterial line management, blood product administration, central line care, continuous IV sedation and paralytics, vasoactive and cardiac drip titration, dysrhythmia management, IV insulin protocols, and PICC line management
• Competency in procedural sedation, phlebotomy, 12-lead EKG acquisition, and infection prevention protocols
• Community hospital experience preferred
