We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse for a Critical Care Unit (ICU/CCU) assignment in Arcata, California. This role is based in a dynamic hospital environment, providing specialized care to critically ill adult patients.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing complex patient cases, performing advanced assessments, and implementing critical interventions. This position requires a commitment to patient safety, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced setting.
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive direct patient care to critically ill patients in the ICU/CCU.
Continuously monitor, assess, and document patient conditions, vital signs, and responses to treatment.
Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, including titrating vasoactive drips.
Operate and manage specialized critical care equipment, such as ventilators and hemodynamic monitoring systems.
Collaborate effectively with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Respond promptly and effectively to emergent situations, initiating life-saving interventions as needed.
Educate patients and their families regarding their condition, treatment plans, and expected outcomes.
Maintain a sterile and therapeutic environment, adhering to all infection control protocols.
Float to other units as needed to cover breaks and assist with patient care.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of Not specified experience in an ICU or CCU setting.
Proof of negative Tuberculosis (TB) screen within 12 months of the contract start date.
