Travel Nurse RN - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care - $2,422 per week in Petaluma, CA

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:00) Experience: Minimum 2 years in similar setting License: Valid state nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - Previous charge experience - Experience with patient ratios - Proficient in charting systems - Experience with LTAC and Trauma Level I & II - Travel experience required Description: The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to critically ill patients. The nurse will manage arterial lines and central lines, ensuring proper care and maintenance. The role includes interpretation and management of dysrhythmias. The nurse will titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips as needed. Ventilator management is also a key responsibility. Average patient ratio is 2 patients per nurse during shifts. The unit supports inter-professional teams, including phlebotomy and rapid response teams. The patient population includes adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. The daily census is typically around 4 patients. Candidates must be willing to float to nearby facilities as required. Travelers must be amenable to working major holidays, including Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year. References will be required covering relevant work experience within the last three years. Candidates must provide copies of certifications. Modules are required and must be completed prior to starting the position.
