Key Responsibilities of the Travel ICU Nurse:
  • Provide critical care nursing to patients in the ICU during day shifts
  • Monitor and manage complex medical devices, ventilators, and life-support systems
  • Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver optimal patient outcomes
  • Educate patients and families on critical care processes and recovery plans
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and clinical status
  • Respond quickly and effectively to medical emergencies and changes in patient condition

Requirements of the Travel ICU Nurse:
  • Active New York Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Minimum of 2 years' recent experience in an ICU setting
