Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Critical Care Float Duration: 26 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 3 years of critical care experience, specifically in a Level 1 Trauma Center. License: Current nursing license required. Certifications: BCLS, ACLS; TNCC preferred. Must-Have: Recent ICU experience within the last year. Weekend requirements: Yes, every other weekend. Description: Must work 2 of the 3 holidays during the contract duration. Must submit time off requests prior to submission for consideration. References must be from a direct supervisor. Position will float between all critical care units. Proficiency in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias is required. A test on dysrhythmia management will be administered. Experience in an academic or teaching facility is required. Required skills include ventilator management, IV start, telemetry, and conscious sedation. Preferred skills include ICP and PA line management. Nurse-patient ratios may vary based on unit requirements. Candidates should be well-rounded ICU nurses with diverse specialty expertise. Neuro ICU experience is required along with an additional ICU specialty. Candidates may float to observation holding areas as needed. Flexibility to adapt to varying patient census is essential. The position involves the care of adult and geriatric patients. The nursing staff is expected to float to other critical care units as required. Strong interpersonal skills are needed for effective collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. Candidates should have experience in trauma and neuro-critical care settings.
