In this mixed cardiac and medical ICU, you will provide care for patients with conditions such as DKA, acute respiratory failure, and post-op cardiovascular surgeries. Key Responsibilities of the RN - Critical Care - Travel

• Meet the expectations of applicable OneCHRISTUS competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
• Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Address increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
• Administer medications and treatments using the appropriate protocols; monitor for side effects and treatment effectiveness.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given.
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers; identify issues and resources.

Requirements of the RN - Critical Care - Travel

• BLS certification via AHA required
• ACLS certification via AHA required
• RN License in state of employment or compact
• 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred
