Travel Nurse RN - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care - $2,491 per week in Rockford, IL

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Client ICU, Critical Care, Cardiovascular ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of ICU experience at a Level 1 Trauma Center License: Current nursing license in Illinois Certifications: CPR, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Strong ICU experience and willingness to float to Step-Down ICU Description: We are seeking an experienced RN for our ICU units. Candidates must have strong ICU experience. Candidates must be willing to float down to Step-Down ICU. The candidate must have a current nursing license. CPR, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required. Candidates must be graduates of an accredited nursing program. Education verification is required. The role utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients. Responsibilities include administering prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies, and procedures. Documentation must be completed according to standards of care. The RN develops, initiates, and executes a patient plan of care according to individualized needs, as prescribed by the Physician and/or hospital policy. Patient and family instruction is a key component of the role. Participation in department or unit performance improvement activities is expected. The RN may support shared governance initiatives. Utilization of clinical expertise to provide guidance to other units or departments is essential for supporting the patient’s longitudinal plan of care. Critical thinking regarding patient safety and patient experience is required. Appropriate escalation to the chain of command must be practiced when necessary. Holiday coverage is required.
