We are seeking a skilled and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical expertise in managing critically ill patients and be proficient in advanced life-support techniques, monitoring, and emergency response.
Key ResponsibilitiesIV Therapy & Line Management- Initiate and maintain IV access
- Manage central lines, PICC lines, and arterial lines
- Administer blood products
- Access and manage ports
Respiratory & Thoracic Care- Assist with chest tube insertion/removal
- Manage BiPAP and CPAP therapy
- Care for ventilated patients
- Perform suctioning (ETT, NT)
- Interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs)
- Manage ventilators and HFNC
Renal Care- Provide care for acute and chronic renal failure patients
- Manage CVVHD/CRRT
Medication Administration- Administer continuous IV sedation and paralytics
- Handle emergency medications
- Monitor procedural sedation
- Titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips
Neurological Care- Manage acute stroke (CVA) patients
- Implement hypothermia protocols (e.g., Arctic Sun)
Infection Control & General Nursing Skills- Follow infection prevention protocols
- Use PPE and isolation precautions
- Perform phlebotomy
- Manage surgical wounds, drains, and wound vacs
Cardiac Monitoring & Emergency Response- Interpret and manage dysrhythmias
- Perform 12-lead ECG/EKG
- Care for patients with multi-organ dysfunction
Endocrine/Metabolic Care- Manage IV insulin protocols
Cardiovascular Care- Pre/Post cardiac catheterization care
- Sheath removal
Additional Skills (Preferred)- Ultrasound-guided IV (PIV)
- Rapid infuser / Level 1 usage
