This role is within a dynamic medical/surgical intensive care unit, uniquely focused on critically ill neuro patients requiring specialized nursing care. Key Responsibilities of the Neuro Medicine ICU - Registered Nurse- Provide specialized nursing care for patients with traumatic brain injuries, aneurysms, status epilepticus, strokes, and other critical neurological conditions
- Utilize strong critical thinking and organizational skills in a high-pressure environment
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge on critical care practices
- Monitor patients using telemetry and other vital equipment
Requirements of the Neuro Medicine ICU - Registered Nurse- RN License (NY License ONLY)
- Two (2) years of RN experience with ICU acute care
- Telemetry experience
- BLS certification (American Heart Association ONLY)
- ACLS certification (American Heart Association ONLY)
- NIHSS certification
