Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00-19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year in critical care License: RN Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Critical care experience Strong communication skills Adaptability to change Description: 48 hours guaranteed. The unit has 25 beds. Patient ratios are 1:2. There is a charge nurse and a unit secretary onsite from 7 AM to 11 PM. No tech assistance is available. The unit is equipped with Alaris pumps and GE monitors. Documentation is completed through MediTech. Self-scheduling is available, with every third weekend required. First to float to other units if needed; floating is limited to telemetry. Patient experience requires AIDET protocols. Advanced skills in neuro and trauma experience are a plus. Procedures performed on the unit include open heart recovery, bedside cardioversions, bronchoscopies, CRRT, and Impella. Required dress code is royal blue scrubs.
