TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in Beaufort, South Carolina, 29902!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years of PCU/Stepdown/ICU experience required License: Valid state license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Must be comfortable floating between stepdown and ICU units. - Must not live within 50 miles of the facility. - Must be willing to work with varying patient ratios. Description: This position requires a registered nurse specializing in ICU. The schedule consists of 4 shifts of 12 hours each. Travelers must have experience in ICU in addition to PCU. The nurse will frequently float to ICU and MedSurg units. Patient ratios are as follows: Stepdown 1:4-5; ICU 1:2; MedSurg 1:5-6. Experience with non-titrating drips, including Amiodarone, NTG, and Cardizem is needed. The nurse will provide care for adults with diagnoses including CHF, respiratory failure, and postoperative care. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. The unit features 21 beds and a daily census of approximately 17 patients. This role includes responsibilities such as managing ports, administering blood products, and monitoring cardiac telemetry. Candidates should be skilled in high flow nasal cannula and non-invasive airway management. Wound care and IV management skills are also essential for this position. The ability to work some holidays and weekends is expected. The nurse must be comfortable with floating policies and providing care across multiple units. This position has high patient-care ratios and has specific floating requirements.
