Travel Nurse RN - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care - $2,582 per week in Albuquerque, NM

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1.5+ years License: Pending NM License accepted Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Previous charge experience (2 years) Patient ratio experience (2) Description: Registered Nurse needed for ICU. 1st time travelers are welcome. Ratios are 1:2. Weekends are required. May be floated to MS, Stepdown, PCU, ER, CVICU. Capped at 4 patients maximum while floating. 50-mile local radius applies; locals not accepted. A minimum of 1.5 years of ICU experience required. Candidate must have experience in arterial line management, chest tube insertion/removal, and BiPAP/CPAP management. Must be able to care for ventilated patients and manage central lines. Experience in managing acute and chronic renal failure is essential. Knowledge of CVA/acute stroke management is required. Candidate should be familiar with infection prevention protocols and interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs). Must be able to manage dysrhythmias and monitor patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure. Experience in neuro intensive care is preferred. Skills in phlebotomy and PICC line management are necessary. Traveler will receive brief orientation on the unit. Modules will be completed onsite during orientation.
