Description:
The ICU RN utilizes the nursing process to provide comprehensive patient care.
The RN collects data relevant to the patient's condition and reports critical values to the physician in a timely manner.
The RN assesses appropriate lab and diagnostic data.
The RN documents findings of physical assessments and identifies abnormal findings.
A plan of care is developed based on patient needs.
The RN advocates on behalf of the patient and their family.
Interventions are performed according to patient needs and hospital policy.
The RN evaluates patient outcomes in relation to goals.
Adherence to all safety guidelines is required, with utmost care exercised when interacting with patients.
The RN demonstrates a professional demeanor in interactions with patients, families, peers, and staff, maintaining open communication with nursing management.
Other duties may be assigned by management.
The RN must be able to float to designated units as needed.
